when the sun shines we'll shine togehter

so my time is dwindling down...today is my last day of classes...and next week i have two finals. and then my college career is over. i started applying for jobs. no success so far. i'm moving out over the weekend -- well kinda -- everything but my bed and clothes. it's kinda sad. i had a going away party over the weekend with all the people who have played a part in my Drexel experience.

thinking about my college experience, i am very satisfied with the way things went. i feel like i had the best of both worlds. cabrini, while i transfered, was a great time and i met some really great people and learned a lot of lessons. it provided a great growing experience and made me more self aware of who i was.

as for drexel. immediately stepping on campus i knew it was the right fit for me. i guess it was an easy transition for me as i was coming in with dan from cabrini too. i guess i just feel like the city has provided me with endless opportunities and for that i am grateful because now i feel more cultured. not to mention a great education. finally i felt as though i was learning and being able to apply it to real life.

either way, i'm done soon....no more university city for this girl. good luck to everyone else that has the privilege of attending drexel.

its tuesday and i'm already excited for the weekend. friday night is my goodbye party, since in 2 wks i will be moving back to the burbs eeeep! time for me to become a big girl. in addition to that saturday will consist of a brunch @ jones and then a hair cut at american mortals http://www.americanmortals.com/

In addition to all that the culmination of the weekend will be spent seeing the play Wicked. My mom has been hyping it up for quite sometime now, being as though she saw it in NYC. I'm hoping that it will be good and I can figure out a way for my parents to treat me to a pair of sneakers at Ubiq (located on 15th and walnut). I actually should be on best behavior being as though I just bought these... my first pair of vans

Tomorrow The Yah Mos Def is playing a free concert in rittenhouse square from 7-9. I really hope that i can conjur up some people to go with me. I'll be in that area fro center city sips, we are going to suzanna foo for some tastey delights. So hopefully everything will go according to planned.

Anyway, Biology is a real drag, I'm doing real awful. I just gotta get through these few classes and then I'm all done.

so, this weekend was good. white t's white b's on friday. thats always a good time however i did get separated from my friends for a large majority of the time.

tonight i'm taking my little cousins to the phillies game. that should be a lot of fun.

what else is new...the job search is coming along slowly but surely. hopefully that works out.

its a real scoorcher outside today.

i'm real bored.

on saturday i saw 311. it's my summer tradition with my cousin jessica. 311 has been my favorite band since the 8th grade and i've seen them 16 times now, and met them 3 times.

they played lots of old stuff including two of my favorites, prisoner and lose. and the weather held out so it was a really nice night...

i really want these and wthn just had a huge sale 25% off nikes. but i think ima go to ubiq and get these with my next paycheck. if you don't know me by now i am a huge sneaker freak. i just designed my own on Nike ID....they are mega cool.

i have been having technical difficulties with my blog lately, which explains the lack of blog post.

nothing really exciting has been happening lately.

last friday, i went on a date, which was more of an adventure around old city. we came upon some really neat things. one of which was this nation wide campaign, called you are beatuiful where they post "you are beautiful" in various places around the country. philadelphia's recent installment is on 2nd and spring garden. if you wanna check out what it looks like visit this page http://www.uwishunu.com/2007/06/07/philly-you-are-beautiful/

in addition, we tired this really cool ice cream place called franklin fountain. its like real old fashion ice cream and the people who work there really play the part which is kinda cool.

WTWB's was Friday night, its this huge dance party from 12am-4am, which is part of first fridays and a lot of fun.


anyway....this weekend i am going to visit my long lost friend and fellow blog buddy and DWC'er, Amanda in Jersey. Im super stoked for BBQ and swimming.
